Ogun Customs seizes N17.5m frozen poultry products

The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has seized 57
bags of cannabis sativa also known as Indian hemp from smugglers along
the Nigeria Benin border areas in the state. Read more
The command also recovered a Toyota Landcruiser from suspected armed
robbers along Ayetoro/Imasai axis last Saturday.
The Ogun customs also seized 3,500 cartons of frozen poultry products
worth N17.5million and intercepted a Mercedes 911 truck ladened with
498 cartons of assorted imported wine, cosmetics and serviette paper
worth N7.4million.
The Ogun Command Area Controller, Comptroller Felix Ade  Dosunmu
disclosed these while conducting newsmen round the seized smuggled
items at the command headquarters in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
Dosunmu while handing over the seized consignment of Indian hemp to
the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency led by the
Principal Staff Officer (Intelligence), Abubakar Sardauna said that
this was a demonstration of the inter-agency cooperation existing
amongst security agencies in the state. The Customs also handed over
the Landcruiser recovered from suspected robbers in Ayetoro.
