The second week of the show witnessed
impressive performances from the contestants, five of which had been
placed on probation for possible eviction this week.
The five contestants on probation are
Janet Ayoka, Rowland Ricketts, Leornard Massaquoi, Oluchi Isreal and
Simon Ekechukwu. Ardent followers of the reality show have been placed
on suspense, as voting is on-going.
In the daily activities in the academy,
members of the faculty, comprising Joke Silva, Ben Ogbeiwi, Mrs. Ige and
dance sensation, Kaffy, have started putting the contestants through
basic training to help them improve their interpersonal skills, diction,
comportment and composure as well as vocal range.
There was an impressive scenario when
Joke Silva, the principal of the academy, had to dish out punishment to
Margaret Cephas for improper behaviour. The scene, most reminiscent of a
typical African mother-child exchange, was insightful as it would help
the young lady from Liberia get some basic lessons in interpersonal
relationship. Interestingly, the same set of faculty members had helped
to produce some of West Africa’s music superstars, in Ghana, Liberia,
Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
