A police source said that the suspects would soon be transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti Street, Yaba, for further investigations and possible prosecution.
Though, normalcy has started returning to the area, palpable tension still pervades the border town, as the Seme Customs command has increased security presence within and around their facilities, particularly their barracks, not too far from the border post.
Two of the trucks that were set ablaze by the mob were still burning as at 1pm yesterday. Most of the traders around the border area have been asked to relocate, while financial institutions around the area have armed mobile men man their entrances.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Umar Mu’azu in charge of Seme  has since summoned  all the traditional rulers in the area during which he urged them to advise their wards on the need to maintain peace.
