I didn’t snub Rivers deputy gov –First Lady
The First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan has denied insinuations that she snubbed the Rivers State deputy governor, who came to receive her at the Port Harcourt International Airport, saying it was an attempt to paint her as an aggressor.
In a statement signed by Director of Information, Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Ayo Adesugba, Mrs. Jonathan said by the latest development, it was clear some people were working against the peace of the state.
While insisting that she had a right to visit her home state whenever she likes, the First Lady, urged that she be left out of the crisis in the state, adding that while she had deliberately refrained from commenting on the crisis rocking the state, those obviously benefitting from it had been fanning the embers of disunity.
