Ajudua informed the court of his request at the Monday’s proceedings when trial ought to commence.
Oyewole therefore adjourned the matter till September 24 to await the outcome of his petition to the Lagos State Chief Judge, Justice Ayotunde Philips, seeking the transfer of the case to another judge.
“Trial was meant to commence today but with the application brought by the first defendant, trial is consequently adjourned,” he said.
Ajudua and Charles Orie are being prosecuted by the EFCC for allegedly duping two Dutchmen, Remy Cina and Pierre Vijgen, of US$1.69m.
