Though details of the skirmish were sketchy as at press time, members of the party in the state had been at loggerheads over sundry issues, especially the candidacy for the 2014 governorship election in the state.
Guns and several dangerous weapons were freely used during the fight.
Fierce looking men, suspected to be thugs, were engaged by factions in the party.
About 20 journalists, who were at the PDP state secretariat on official assignment, were attacked, with some sustaining injuries.
