Yetunde Wunmi celebrates 35 years on stage
Top Yoruba actress, Taiwo Akinwande (a.k.a
Yetunde Wunmi) will celebrate 35 years in the entertainment industry on Sunday, June 7 at Nelo's
Place, No 2 Yomi Oshikoya Drive, behind Etiebet Place, off Bank Anthony, Ikeja,
Lagos by 2pm.more...
Akinwande will also use the occasion to
premiere her movie. Artistes expected at the event include Wasiu Alabi (aka
Pasuma).
Akuntunde hails from Ogun State and started
acting professionally in 1980 with the Abalaye Theatre Troupe, led Chief Sunday Akinola of the Feyikogbon fame, a weekly soap opera, which ruled television
stations then.
Akinwande said: " The event is to thank
God for making it possible for me to get to this level in my profession
spanning more than three decades. I am grateful to God and my numerous fans who
appreciate what I do.”
Awards will also be given to prominent
Nigerians who have impacted greatly in my life. They include Chief Sunday
Akinola (Mogaji Feyikogbon ), Musiliu Akinsanya ( MC Oluomo), Sunday Igboho and
a post-humous award to the late Muyideen Alade Aromire, pioneer of the Yoruba
home video and movie industry.
The event is organized by Albasit
Communications, City People Entertainment, Orisun, Owurolawa, Ifankaleluyah
Ventures.
