She made this known during the unveiling of the Sing Out
Childhood Cancer competition which held at Pinefield School, Lekki on recently.
Founder of Children Living With Cancer
Foundation, (CLWCF), Dr. Nneka Nwobbi
said: “ that there is no political will to drive childhood cancer
awareness in Nigeria. The annual
inter school Sing out Childhood Cancer Competition is an annual singing competition that focuses on
creating a sound, balanced singing competition among schools in Lagos.”
“ The proceeds from the Childhood Cancer
Charity Concert will be channeled towards the welfare and medication of
children with cancer at the Oncology Ward, Department of Paediatrics, University of Lagos Teaching
Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba and the National Orthopedic Hospital Igbobi Lagos
respectively.
“CLWCF is currently in partnership with these
health facilities to provide help and care for the cancer children and support
for their parents.
Children Living With Cancer Foundation a non
profit organization set up to cater for the welfare and medication of children
living with cancer and provide support for their parents.
The occasion was also used to present of
Kenny St Brown as the brand ambassador for CLCWF.
The inter-school Sing out Childhood
Cancer Competition is an annual singing
competition that focuses on creating a resounding, balanced singing competition
among schools in Lagos. It is also used to raise funds for children with cancer
with the objective of nurturing children to imbibe the culture of helping
people in need, whilst teaching them to show care, love and understanding to
people who are unable to help themselves.
